First, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador snubbed President Biden’s invitation to the recent Summit of the Americas by refusing to attend unless the dictators from Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua were also invited. At a White House meeting the following week, he chided President Biden about US inflation saying that Americans were crossing the border to buy gasoline in Mexico. After these insults, President Biden journeyed to the Middle East to beg a potentate who previously had refused to receive his calls, in order to beg him to pump more oil. This lack of respect for the US and its president is a result of a slavish adherence to the progressive left agenda that has left the US weakened and vulnerable.
