After a week of chaos caused by his own actions, President Trump signed the COVID relief bill along with the omnibus spending bill passed by Congress with bipartisan support. But his rash actions only compounded the grief and anguish of millions caused by months of delays in congress. Georgetown University professor Jason Brennan asserts in his book, Against Democracy, that incompetent elected leaders are the only possible result when the electorate, itself, is incompetent.
