Argentina went from being the tenth wealthiest country in the world in 1913 to 69th now, and it all started with the rise of the populist Juan Perón. Argentina has vacillated between Perónism, dictatorships and democracy for most of the 20th century and the result has been nationalizations, confiscations and multiple debt defaults. America is entering a period of political and economic instability.
