The search for systemic racism continues. Anti-racist academics and progressive politicians know it exists because the black/white outcome gap in areas such as housing, health care, employment and criminal justice proves it exists. It is just that it is hard to find because, as Stokely Carmichael said, of its less overt, more subtle nature. It must exist, because if it doesn’t there must be a different explanation for the Black/white outcome gap. And a lot of people are not going to like that explanation.
